Morning Drive

Good Morning Fog!

This mornings drive found me driving through patches of dark fog. A road hazard for sure, but I cannot help myself I find it to be fascinating! I grumble at the thought of getting out the door at such an early hour and yet I still do not know why because an adventure is sure to be ahead. Chasing the fog is where one could have found me this early morning and chase I did ..... I really do wonder at times what people are thinking that end up behind me or in front of me!

As I captured this shot of the electrical poles and lines I found my heart being once again softened and reminded of the greatness of my Papa! We are such a funny lot of people and we like our stuff! When I first moved to the country I was kinda bummed about that great big stretch of electrical mass that seemed to always be in my line of view for snapping great shots. And what bugged me the most was it was such a pretty spot of land that had possibly never had to be shared with anyone on the human side. A place for the wild to roam and birds to flock and I suppose cows and wild turkey to graze.

Most days however I found myself grateful for those lines! Without them I would have no electrical service, no water, no lights, no blow dryer, no kitchen aid, no computer, and the list could go on and on! As wonderful as the invention of electricity is and as massive as this particular line is I found myself seeing how small it really was! The expanse of the brilliant first morning light rays beamed through the wires and dominated them! We dare to think we are significant and have such power and greatness! For the first time I didn't notice the massive power lines but I saw it for what it really was.

My Papa God's creation is immense. When I feel small and insignificant He reminds me of my signifcance. He knows me inside and out! The greatness of His name is buried deep in the folds of my heart. I am His and He is mine! I am His daughter and my Papa is the King.

Driving on down the road found me gazing upon the barren trees. Wintertime has always fascinated me and let me just say pretty much it is my favorite season! A time of slowing down, shorter days, reflections of the past year and dreaming for the new year. Fresh starts, fresh ideas and another chance to accomplish what it is I am here for! Dear Lord help me to mediate on you and enjoy this season that is before me and accomplish and dream all you desire to give me!

"And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so." Genesis 1:14-15

Hope you enjoyed the ride......

Our Papa God is magnificent, impressive, extravagant in all of His creation!

Have a wonderful week.....
Till next time,

Teresa
